What to expect
We'll be a team, co-operating with each other for the success of the journey. Although you don't need camping experience, a willingness to be involved is going to enhance your experience. Because we are not a coach style tour, expect some days to be long and not for softies.
Our small group size means that we'll get to know each other well. Each of us has a story to tell or an experience to share - we are sharing ours with you, out here. Many of our passengers are travelling alone, and many go home with new found friends.
We won't treat you like tourist fodder - no name badges here! You'll be in a different seat each day. We'll stop for photos and to 'smell the roses'. We'll be close to nature. The botanical, wildlife, historic, geographic and photographic experiences are what you are here for, so let's not be tied to a completely rigid schedule.
We'll stop in the late afternoon to set up camp; in the morning there is often an opportunity for a walk before departure. It's likely we will ask you to assist with some easy tasks like collecting firewood, rolling your swag, assisting with lunch preparation, or washing up dishes.
Due to the nature of Outback travel it may at times be necessary to change the planned routes and itineraries. Our guides will make these decisions, based on experience and respecting the need for safety.

Meals
Breakfast usually consists of cereal, toast, yoghurt, fruit, tea or coffee.
Lunch is usually a variety of wraps, rolls, salads and fruit. Occasionally we may have a cooked lunch.
Expect a wide variety of evening meals. Essentially we use a fire to cook on, and we sometimes cook with a wok. Of course, it's hard to beat the magic created by a camp oven.
Catering for vegetarians or people with other special needs is usually not a problem. Please notify us of any dietary requirements when booking the tour.

You'll need to bring your own medications with you because we cannot provide a medical diagnosis; nor can we supply any medicines or drugs. It may also be wise to pack a spare pair of spectacles if you need them.
We carry a First Aid kit and have Remote Area First Aid training.
